Cornerback Kyle Wilson has signed a one year deal with the New Orleans Saints, according to multiple reports.

If the Saints secondary is healthy, Wilson would be competing against newly signed CB Delvin Breaux, Terrence Frederick and Brian Dixon. All 4 players should be a heavy part of the Saints special teams unit.

Wilson never lived up to his lofty expectations with the New York Jets when they selected him late in the first round of the 2010 draft.

Coming out of Boise State, Wilson was considered one of the best cornerback prospects in the draft. With the Jets, he never could crack the starting lineup unless he was filling in for an injured teammates. In 5 seasons, Wilson mainly played nickle back, going up against slot receivers.

Wilson could be a good fit in New Orleans, as he won't carry the presumption of having to be great, something Jets fans expected when he was drafted as a rookie.

In 5 seasons in New York, he only intercepted 3 passes.
