New Orleans Saints Waive WR Joe Morgan

New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton was not messing around when he said some changes could be coming. On Tuesday, the team waived wide receiver Joe Morgan.

Morgan's time with the team has been riddled with injuries and controversy. In 2011 and 2013 he was sidelined for the year with knee injuries.

Then last May he was arrested and charged with DUI after police found him asleep in his car on the side of the road in Jefferson Parish.

And then earlier this season he was suspended two games by the team for undisclosed reasons.

On the season, Morgan has four receptions for 92 yards. He also had one rush for 67 yards.

For his career he has 14 receptions for 471 yards with three touchdowns.

The Saints still have five receivers on their active roster: Marques Colston, Kenny Stills, Nick Toon, Robert Meachem, and Jalen Saunders.
