Sometimes it's hard to keep up with all the wonderful festivals here in Louisiana, but one of my favorites is coming up July 31-August 3, the 14th annual Satchmo SummerFest! This festival is dedicated to the life, legacy, and music of Louisiana's own Louis 'Satchmo' Armstrong, and most of the activities take place around the Old US Mint in New Orleans. This is a completely free three-day music festival, with over 40 bands celebrating jazz music, on two different stages. The lineup for the different stages was announced today, so check it out, and make plans to attend August 1-3 in New Orleans!
