Actor Pat Harrington Jr. passed away on Wednesday at the age of 86. He'd been suffering from Alzheimer's and was hospitalized after a recent fall.

Most of us remember Pat for his role on the hit sitcom "One Day at a Time". He played the superintendent Dwayne Schneider on the show that ran from 1975 to 1984.

And believe it or not, he won both an Emmy and a Golden Globe for it.

Harrington's last gig was back in 2012 when he appeared on "Hot in Cleveland", which starred his "One Day at a Time" co-star Valerie Bertinelli. Stereotypically, he played the manager of an apartment building.
