Texaco Country Showdown Winners

Cowboys night club is just a great place to hear live country music. Friday night 11 of Acadiana's most talented singers and songwriters took to the stage at Cowboys in hopes of taking a big step toward a career in country music.

The Texaco Country Showdown now in it's 21st year with 97.3 The Dawg revealed that we have a lot of talented people in our part of the world. Congratulations to our winner J'Leigh Chauvin.

Second place in Friday's Texaco Country Showdown went to Lynda Gayle Brumfield.

Third place in the Texaco Country Showdown was awarded to Kylie Ann Frey.

The contestants were not only judged on vocal ability but stage presence and marketability in country music. Over 300 people packed the show room at Cowboys to witness this years event which was sponsored locally by Service Chevrolet Cadillac.
