Thomas Rhett will be bundling up and ringing in 2017 in New York City! The country singer is one of the performers booked for Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest.

The "Star of the Show" singer will perform live from Times Square on Dec. 31, celebrating with millions of his closest friends while ushering in a new year. Rhett will be joined by pop-rock band DNCE, Gloria Estefan, the cast of Broadway's On Your Feet! and New Year's Rockin' Eve headliner Mariah Carey.

"Looks like I'll be ringing in the New Year with y'all LIVE from Times Square!" Rhett posted on Twitter just minutes after the official announcement was made.

Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve first aired on Dec. 31, 1972, ushering in 1973 with popular band Three Dog Night and Dick Clark reporting from Times Square, and in the years since, the special event has become a New Year Eve's tradition for many Americans. Clark, who passed away in 2012, handed over hosting duties to Seacrest in the mid-2000s; this year, Seacrest will be joined by actress Jenny McCarthy in Times Square, while Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas will host the show's Billboard Hollywood Party from Los Angeles.

As for Rhett, his performance on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest will cap off a pretty stellar year ... not to mention be just the first in a long line of new milestones in 2017. Rhett's tune "Die a Happy Man" took home the trophy for Single of the Year at the 2016 CMA Awards, and in February, he'll hit the road for his first-ever headlining trek, the Home Team Tour.
