It wasn't supposed to end this way but it did. A 26-year-old St. Landry Parish man, Lance Gordon, is dead. This after he was injected with a drug cocktail. Authorities with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's office have arrested the woman believed to have prepared the injection.

Lt. Clay Higgins with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's office told reporters what authorities believe happened in the moments before 26-year-old Lance Gordon died.  Authorities believe that Gordon injected a lethal cocktail of drugs prepared by 29 year old Jessica Stelly.

After receiving that injection Gordon begin to feel very ill.  Instead of calling 911 authorities believe that Stelly called two other men, 27-year-old Stephan Godeaux and 34-year-old Gene Dunbar. Lt. Higgins with St. Landry S.O. explained what authorities believe happened after this phone call was made.

"And between the three of them, the evidence shows that they basically brought the man to his home and sort of left him there on his sofa."

As a result of Gordon's death all three people have been charged in connection with his death. Lt. Higgins explained the charges to the Louisiana Radio Network.

"The young lady that was involved initially charged with second degree murder and obstruction of justice.  Each of the men involved were charged with negligent homicide and obstruction of justice."

Higgins says each person was arrested without incident and each will have their day in court.
