LSU scored in six different innings, collected 14 hits and took advantage of free base runners to defeat Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns 11-2 before a sellout crowd of 3,790 at M. L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

Seven of the Tigers' 14 hits went for extra bases, including a three run homer by Tigers' shortstop Alex Bregman.

Cajun pitchers, meanwhile, did not help their cause, walking five batters and hitting four more.  Four of the Tigers' runs were scored by players who got on base for free.

Meanwhile, sophomore left-hander Cody Glenn (1-0) was superb through seven innings of work, allowing only three hits and throwing 69 pitches.

Bregman had two hits and drove in four runs.  The home run in the third inning was his first of the year and came off Cajuns' starter Kody Smith (0-1).  Tyler Moore came off the bench to have three hits and three RBI, while Christian Ibarra had two hits and scored two runs.

Dylan Butler had the two rbi for the Cajuns.  His two out single in the ninth off Joey Bourgeois plated Brenn Conrad, who singled, and brother Jace, who doubled.

LSU (7-1) hosts Brown this weekend.  Louisiana (7-2) hosts Nicholls State tomorrow night.
