Tompall Glaser truly was one of the original country music outlaws, and he passed away today at age 79 in Nashville.Tompall sang on what would become country music's very first platinum-selling album  - 'Wanted! The Outlaws' in 1976 with Waylon Jennings, Jessi Colter and Willie Nelson. In 1984, this album was among the first to be issued on CD by RCA Records.

He never gained the kind of success some of his contemporaries did, but let's face it, he blazed the trail. RIP Tompall....
