The swamps and bayous of Louisiana are alive there is no doubt about that. They are alive with the abundance that mother nature and the Good Lord have put there and they are alive with stories. I love to hear the stories of the swamp. Especially when they are told by someone who has lived the tale.

Troy Landry of the History Channel's Swamp People recounts the story of Ol' One Eye. Is it a bear? Is it a gator? Is it some other kind of creature that has been caught on film in the middle of the night on a hunter's camera? I don't know. I just know I'd rather hear about it from Troy than meet up with it on a moonless night surround by the black water of the bayou.
