At least two schools in Acadiana will be closed today (Friday, Jan. 19).

According to St. Martin Parish Superintendent Frederick Wiltz, St. Martinville Jr. and Breaux Bridge High School are still dealing with low water pressure.

As a result, those two schools will remain closed.

On Monday, all schools were closed for MLK Jr. Day. Then the freezing temperatures kept all Acadiana area schools closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Many area schools re-opened on Thursday, however, a significant number had to remain closed due to issues with water pressure.

If more schools close today, we will update this story.
