Two Bodies Discovered In Burning Vehicles In Lafayette

According to our news partners KATC, Lafayette deputies are investigating the discovery of two bodies found in two separate burning vehicles.

At approximately 1:15 am the Lafayette Sheriff Office learned that the Carencro Fire Department was called to a vehicle fire in the 100 block of Disette Road. After extinguishing the vehicle fire, an unidentified body was found in the vehicle.

Just a little more than two hours later at around 3:30 am, a second vehicle fire was reported to the Scott Fire Department. This incident occurred in the 400 Block of Old Spanish Trail in Scott. After the fire was extinguished, an unidentified body was found in the vehicle.

As of now, detectives haven't said if they believe the two incidences to be connected. Detectives also have yet to identify the vehicles or victims.
