The most unique use of someone's ashes after they died award goes to the following guys.

The story actually started when three guys from England went on a fishing trip to Thailand last year. Their names are Paul Fairbrass, Cliff Dale, and Ron Harper, and they're all in their mid-60s.

They were planning to go back again this month. But unfortunately Ron was diagnosed with cancer and passed away in December.

But while he was on his deathbed, he told he two buddies to go on the trip anyway. And he even asked them to spread some of his ashes in the same river they went to last year.

He also made a strange request of his pals. He asked them to use some of his ashes as bait!

They proudly obliged. However, it's a little tough to use just ashes as bait so they mixed it up with some type of meat and rolled it into little balls.

Here's the best part. While they were fishing with the "ash balls", they ended up catching one of the biggest fish ever caught in the area.

It was a massive carp that weighed 170 pounds, and they posted pictures online.

Well done Ron!
