Two Winning Powerball Tickets Sold in Missouri and Arizona

Looks like we won't have a multi-millionaire from Louisiana this go round with the Powerball. The record-setting $579 million Powerball jackpot had two winning tickets sold for last night's drawing.

The winning numbers were 5-23-16-22-29 and the Powerball was 6. (I bet the winners went with family members' birthdays!)

The two winning tickets were sold in Arizona and Missouri, however, exactly where in those states remains to be seen.

Wednesday's prize was the largest in Powerball history. The jackpot came short of the U.S. lottery record set by the Mega Millions jackpot earlier this year that peaked at $656 million.

I guess we'll have to just go back to a mere $5 million next week. Oh, drat!
