A two-year-old boy visiting Disney World with his family was horrifyingly dragged into one of the park's lagoons by an alligator last night (Tuesday) around 9:20pm. His father fought the alligator frantically to save his son to no avail.

Dailymail.co.uk reports that "the boy was dragged into the Seven Seas Lagoon near the upmarket Grand Floridian Resort & Spa around 9:20pm on Tuesday as he paddled in a foot of water with his parents and four-year-old sister - despite ‘no swimming’ signs being posted nearby."

Recovery efforts are still ongoing, however police say they hold little hope the child will be found alive.

Search and rescue teams searching for the toddler have reportedly found four alligators thus far, but no sign of the child.
