Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun softball team is up, two spots, to number seven, in this week's college softball RPI (Rating Performance Index) rankings, released by the NCAA on Monday.

Louisiana, who has won and 22 of their last 24, and leads the Sun Belt Conference by three games in loss column, currently stands at 30-7-1 on the season, and will return to action on Wednesday night, when they host McNeese St. in non-conference action at Lamson Park.

Three schools from the SEC, including Alabama, Florida, and Georgia are ranked 1-3, with UCLA and Missouri rounding out the top five.

Oregon is number six, followed by Louisiana at number seven, with Florida St., Arizona, and Arizona St. coming in at 8-10, respectively.

Tennessee begins the second ten, with Baylor, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M in spots 12-15.

At 16-20, it’s Kentucky, South Alabama, Michigan, Minnesota, and Tulsa.

Washington, LSU, Auburn, James Madison, and Notre Dame round out the top 25 of this week's RPI rankings.

The respective RPI’s for the eight Sun Belt Conference schools has Louisiana (7th overall) first, with South Alabama (17th overall) second, followed  by WKU (63rd overall), Georgia St. (77th overall), Texas St. (98th overall), Troy (105th overall), UT-Arlington (120th overall), and ULM (136th overall).
