What has 120 gas pumps, a 250-foot-long carwash, 22 electric vehicle charging stations, and is on your way to Dolly Parton's place? If you answered " the new Buc-ee's in Sevierville, Tennessee", you'd be right. We'd also question your sanity just a little because nobody, not even the biggest fan of Buc-ee's should be able to recall that kind of information that quickly.

Residents of East Tennessee can now experience the long lines of confused tourist traffic since the opening of the new Sevierville store this week. The East Tennessee store which sits at the main entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains of I-40 is officially the largest store of its kind in the world.

It will offer all of what Buc-ee's is known for, snacks, jerky, barbeque, plus the aforementioned long lines for tourists who are making their way to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville too. The new East Tennessee Buc-ee's is reported to be 74,000 square feet of pure beaver bliss, but that record for being the biggest Buc-ee's won't last for very long.

Because there is an even bigger Buc-ee's planned for I-10 just outside of Austin, Texas. That Buc-ee's will be 75,000 square feet and will replace a current store location near Luling, Texas. The Buc-ee's chain currently operates stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. The company's first Louisiana location is scheduled to open in April of 2025 near Ruston, Louisiana.

Many Louisiana residents thought they had secured a Buc-ee's location in the state back in 2016 when the company was exploring opening a location on I-12 near Millerville Road in Baton Rouge but that deal fell through. The store blamed the change of plans and the decision to not build in Baton Rouge on "critical mass".  That's their story and they're sticking to it.

Meanwhile, if you wanted to visit the world's smallest Buc-ee's you'd have to travel to far West Texas near the town of Sanderson. That's about two hours east of Marfa and that is about two hours from the middle of nowhere. Here's what the Sanderson location looks like.

And no it's not actually a real Buc-ee's it's an "art project". If it was a real Buc-ee's there would be a line of cars stuck waiting to get in to go to the bathroom and get barbeque and Beaver Nuggets.
