World’s Ugliest Dog Went to a Hunchback Mutt Named Quasi Modo

The annual World's Ugliest Dog pageant went down on Friday in Petaluma, California. The winner is certainly beautiful in his own way. A 10-year-old mixed breed dog from Loxahatchee, Florida named Quasi Modo was crowned the winner.

He has several birth defects that make him completely hunchbacked. As a result, he looks more like a hyena than a dog.

Quasi Modo beat out 26 other pooches to earn the title in categories such as unusual attributes, raw ugliness, shocking first impression, and personality.

According to one of the judges at the event, Quasi Modo "epitomized excellence in ugliness".

The dog's owner will take home a $1,500 check for the win. Additionally, Quasi is being whisked off to San Francisco and New York on a media tour followed by a makeover on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
