$100,000 Powerball Winner Sold in Louisiana
Monday we win a college football championship. Tuesday there was a big money winner in the Mega Millions game. Last night in the Powerball drawing a ticket sold in Louisiana is worth $100,000. Let's face it. This is Louisiana's winning week.
The winning tradition was kept alive in last night's Powerball drawing. As we alluded to earlier, there was a big-money ticket sold in the state. The ticket matched four of the five white-ball numbers, the Powerball, and the player had invoked the Powerplay option too.
That's how you win an easy $100,000. Here are the numbers so you can check your ticket to see if you're going to be laying claim to the cash.
The winning ticket, according to the Louisiana Lottery, was purchased in LaPlace at Mathern's Supermarket on Airline Highway. That makes the second big-money winner sold on Airline Highway this week.
By the way, both top prize jackpots for Powerball and Mega Millions remain unclaimed. Friday night's Mega Millions drawing will feature an estimated top prize of $103 million. The Powerball top prize is estimated to be $321 million when the next drawing in that game is held Saturday night.
