18 Things You Didn’t Know Were Made by Prisoners
Every year when I go to the Angola Prison Rodeo, I am always amazed at the beautiful crafts that the prisoners make to sell at this annual event. It's not just the license plates that everyone jokes about, but beautiful furniture, jewelry, woodworking items, and handmade art.
So I was not surprised at all that Ranker.com found things that are made in prisons every year, that we didn't even know about. Those who think this is a good idea claim that it cuts manufacturing costs, teaches prisoners a skill they can use after they are released, and helps them save money for life after prison. Others call it slave labor. Check out the items below that might have been made by prisoners in your state.
