Coach Mark Hudspeth's UL Ragin' Cajuns football team has a tough slate ahead of them if they want to equal or improve upon back-to-back 9-4 seasons. The 2013 schedule has been released and it's doozy as the Cajuns open up with back-to-back road games against BCS schools in Arkansas and Kansas State.

On top of that, the Cajuns play only five of their 12 games at the friendly confines of Cajun Field. Additionally, UL has three mid-week games scheduled. The good news though, is that five games this season will be nationally televised.

“One by-product of being in demand by television is that it tends to wreak havoc with your schedule and in this case, it certainly did,” third-year head coach Mark Hudspeth said.

“On one hand, it shows how far this program has come over the last two years that we are the only program in the Sun Belt chosen by ESPN to have three games televised in prime time.  It also puts two of our most challenging games on the road a week apart and gives us three games mid-week playing days."
