According to the report from @NOLAnews the 2021 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival will take place on the weekends of October 8th and October 15th. It will still take place at the Fair Grounds, as it has for decades.

While formal announcement is expected to come from the festival soon, this change will make for a packed month of music in the New Orleans area. Multiple other festivals are slated for October in NOLA, including Buku fest who has an alternative take on their annual festival planned for that month. Of course, the popular 'Voodoo Music + Arts' festival happens on Halloween weekend every year. There is also the French Quarter Festival, meaning every weekend in October will have plenty to do in the Big Easy.

The people of New Orleans and surrounding areas are in for a huge month of music in October 2021. Let's just hope that we can get this pandemic under control soon so that we can all enjoy some good tunes together this fall.
