2025 Cajun Heartland State Fair Schedule in Lafayette, Louisiana

LAFAYETTE, La. (KMDL-FM) - It's nearly "Geaux Geaux, Fun Fun" time at the Cajundome in Lafayette as dates have been announced for the 2025 Cajun Heartland State Fair.

This year's festivities will take place from Friday, May 23, through Sunday, June 1, on the grounds of the Cajundome in Lafayette, Louisiana.

As always, there will be plenty of fun things to do and see. The fair features a fantastic carnival with rides and games, great family attractions including the Wildlife Adventure Center, and a grandstand with awesome live music from local and regional acts.

What Does It Cost to Enter the 2025 Cajun Heartland State Fair?

There is a cost to enter the fairgrounds. Below are the admission fees each day for this year's CHSF (ages 6 and over):

Monday - Thursday - $5.00
Friday - Sunday (Before 7 pm) - $5.00
Friday & Saturday (After 7 pm) - $10.00

Attractions at the 2025 Cajun Heartland State Fair (Many of These Are Free)

Once you're on the grounds of the CHSF, there are plenty of free attractions to enjoy. Most are part of your admission into the fair and some add-on activities are available at a nominal fee.

Dan Dan the Farmer Man
- Dan-Dan and his Sarcastic Sidekick trade Farmyard Funnies, sing Silly Songs, and interact with the Audience. When the Cornball Clodhopper cranks up his Crop-Quenching Contraption, these Rural Rubes conjure up a Crowd Cooling Cloudburst
Dragon Training Academy
- Watch as inventor & time traveler Brock Barnabas visits the present time to recruit some adventurous kids to travel back to the Medieval times. They train to help deal with an overpopulation of dragons! Kids are trained to both defend against and tame down dragons using Brock's amazing science-based inventions and techniques.
Dino Takeover & Mini Golf
- Step back in time to meet up to 8 of your favorite dinosaurs. During the show, you can expect to see a baby dinosaur hatch, witness how we train dinosaurs, and even have a 12-foot, 2000 lb velociraptor play hide and seek with a few lucky kids. Have life-sized fun when you visit our 50-foot brachiosaurus named Tiny, a 22-foot triceratops named Fluffy, and Thumper, a beautiful 20-foot ankylosaurus.
Wildlife Adventure Center & Petting Zoo
- Discover the ultimate educational and interactive experience at our agricultural and wildlife zoo! This hands-on exotic animal petting zoo has captivated audiences at fairs and festivals nationwide. With 40-50 animals, including 15-20 rare and exotic species from around the globe, every visit is an unforgettable adventure.

Live Music on the Coca-Cola Stage

Clear Bag Policy in Effect

A Clear Bag Policy will be in effect for this year's Cajun Heartland State Fair.

Also, keep in mind that while all youth are welcome to the CHSF, those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult 21 years or older from 7:00 pm to close daily.
