3-Year-Old Dies After Shooting in Arnaudville

A 3-year-old boy has died following a shooting in Arnaudville last night.

St. Martin Parish Sheriff's deputies responded to a call at a residence in the 1000 block of Kennedy Drive at 7:20pm on Thursday evening. Once there, they discovered the child suffering from a gunshot wound.

The child was airlifted to a local hospital in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries around 10:30pm.

The name of the child has not been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
