It's finally here, the big reveal for 97.3 The Dawg's 5th Annual Holiday Hangover Show, brought to you by Express Employment Lafayette. The show is also presented by our friends at RLB Construction and Seasafe.

First, let us remind you that this show is an intimate, acoustic concert featuring some of the hottest up-and-coming artists in country music.

Next year's show will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Acadiana Center for the Arts in downtown Lafayette.

So, who's playing the 5th annual Holiday Hangover Show?

The three national acts lined up for this year's show are Hailey Whitters, Drew Baldridge, and Zach Top.

Kicking off the evening will be local artists Ory Veillon, Jeff Dugan, and Buddy Andrews.

Perhaps the most accomplished of our Holiday Hangover Show singers is Hailey Whitters. The Shueyville, Iowa native has already achieved great success on country radio with her platinum-selling single "Everything She Ain't."

Her follow-up single, "I'm In Love," is as fun as songs come and is sure to be another hit.

Whitters will spend a big part of 2024 playing big arenas as she'll be opening for the likes of Dan + Shay, Luke Combs, and Jason Aldean on their respective tours next year.

Drew Baldridge was raised in Patoka, Illinois, and his music reflects small-town life while living large on the simple things.

His viral hit, "She's Somebody's Daughter," has gained over 300 million TikTok impressions, streamed over 105 million, and is now making waves at country radio.

Baldridge is an accomplished songwriter signed to Sony Music Publishing with over 300+ songs under his belt for major label acts like Locash, Bailey Zimmerman and Chase Matthew.

Newcomer Zach Top is about as country as it gets. The 25-year-old is reviving the spirit of '90s traditionalists like George Strait, Randy Travis, and Keith Whitley. In fact, many people have likened his voice to the latter.

Top grew up on a ranch in Sunnyside, Washington, and at the ripe age of seven, he formed a bluegrass band with his siblings called Top String. All through his teens and early twenties, he played in various bluegrass bands, including Modern Tradition, with whom he notched a string of hits on bluegrass radio, including the #1 song "Like It Ain't No Thing."

He's already appeared on the historic Grand Ole Opry multiple times and is debuting his mainstream single, "Sounds Like the Radio," to country radio in early January.

Local Openers

The Holiday Hangover Show will feature three great local artists opening the show -- Ory Veillon, Jeff Dugan, and Buddy Andrews.

Ory Veillon is a Lafayette native who has been playing music since middle school. At only 19 years old, his voice is nothing like what most of us sounded like at that age. He brings a traditional sound to the stage and we can't wait for you to hear him at the Holiday Hangover Show.

Jeff Dugan is definitely a name many of you in Acadiana know and love. He has been delighting honky crowds around south Louisiana for many years now. Dugan has garnered significant airplay on country radio over the years with songs like "No Fair Fallin' in Love," "Boys You Gotta Learn to Dance," and "Don't Tell Her," to name a few.

Buddy Andrews is a native of northeast Arkansas but has made Acadiana his home for the last few years. He and his band, The Branded, have been playing the local and regional scene heavily over the last couple of years delivering a traditional sound of country music.

How do you get tickets to the Holiday Hangover Show?

The good news is that we don't sell any tickets to this show. It's absolutely free to attend.

However, you can only win your way in. Listen to 97.3 The Dawg starting Monday, December 11, 2023, between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm for us to play a special cue-to-call by one of the artists. When you hear it, be caller 7 on the Leash Line, at (337) 261-9797, and you'll score a pair of tickets. This Holiday Hangover Show sounder could pop up multiple times during those hours every weekday.

Will there be chances for us to meet the artists?

Absolutely! We've once again teamed up with Home Furniture Plus Bedding to give away the Best Seat in the House.

We'll give away a few of these great seats leading up to the show. Every winner and their guest will get to sit on stage during the show in comfy seating set up by Home Furniture.

Every Best Seat winner will get to meet all the Holiday Hangover Show artists.

Be on the lookout to win this great prize in early January.

Other great goodies at the show

Everyone who attends the 2024 Holiday Hangover Show will get a handy-dandy 97.3 The Dawg koozie provided by Lowry's Printing & Signs.

Also, our friends at Home Furniture Plus Bedding will be hooking up a bunch of concert-goers with some Holiday Hangover Show commemorative t-shirts that we'll give out the night of the show.

Another thank you to our good friends The Rustic Renegade as they'll be providing the on-stage bar for our artists and Best Seat in the House winners to enjoy some drinks. (I mean, it is gonna be a party, right?!?)

And a final thank you to our friends at Prejean's, with locations in Carencro and Broussard, for providing catering for all the artists at the show.
