The men and women of law enforcement will tell you when they get a call to action, they never know exactly what is waiting for them. Such was the case on Friday night when officers were summoned to investigate a noise complaint.

Upon arrival, officers noted there was a social gathering going on. After speaking with the principles involved in the party the music was turned down and guests agreed to keep the noise at a minimum.

After further investigation officers discovered the reason for the party was the celebration of Mrs. Verdie Domingue's 80th birthday. When Mrs. Domingue learned why the volume of the music at her party had been lowered she came out and requested a picture with the responding officers.

As the post on the Police Association of Lafayette Local #905 Facebook page so eloquently stated. "We can only hope at 80 we are all still having parties that the police get called to."
