A man who has won many awards as a lead singer of the popular rock group Staind now needs to make room to have a few country trophies! Aaron Lewis of Staind released his ‘Town Line’ EP in 2011, and he’s now nominated for awards in the Academy of Country Music.

According to antimusic.com, “Aaron’s debut country single “Country Boy,” has received two Academy Of Country Music nominations.

The song is from his 2011 country debut EP "Town Line" (R&J Records). He was nominated in the "Vocal Event of the Year" category for the song which features George Jones and Charlie Daniels!

Lewis is with Grammy winning producer James Stroud recording the follow-up to "Town Line", which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. The new album is planned for a spring 2012 release.

Staind is playing at the Cajundome on April 18th.
