Acadiana Legend and TV Outdoorsman “Jimmy D” Has Died

If you're a fisherman in Acadiana, you knew Jimmy D. He graced the broadcast airwaves for many years on KATC's "Good Morning Acadiana" with fishing and other outdoors tips. The station is reporting the man behind the passionate weekly fishing forecasts, Jimmy Davidson, died after a long battle with cancer. 

According to family, his passion was not only for fishing the waters surrounding Acadiana. He was a referee for many sports in the area for more than 40 years. Over the years, he served as a mentor to many other officials in the area.

Funeral arrangements are still pending.
