ASO's Celebration Season kicks-off in September with an opening night concert that features crowd favorites with a few surprises sprinkled in. In October, prepare to be intrigued by celebrity guest illusionist, Michael Grandinetti as he shocks the audience with magical acts alongside spellbinding tunes from everybody's favorite, "HARRY POTTER" series among other spooky soundtracks. November features a viewing of the locally filmed, OSCAR Nominated, "Beasts of the Southern Wild." Acadiana Symphony is joined once again by GRAMMY Award-Winning Lost Bayou Ramblers to perform the movie score live and in-person as you watch the film on the big screen. As ASO dashes into December, Santa stops by to visit the little (and big) kids of Acadiana. Holiday favorites and festivities will be performed by the symphony and feature GRAMMY Nominated Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys, Acadiana Symphony Youth Orchestra and Chorale Des Amis.

After taking a breather in January, ASO gets back to work in February with a concert that takes care of your Valentine's Day plans. The February 14th show features sultry Spanish rhythms by Cuban pianist, Leonel Morales alongside Acadiana Symphony Chamber Orchestra. March plays double-time starting with a community collaboration featuring local images and pictures submitted by Lafayette residents set alongside captivatingly nostalgic selections. Finally, end the season with ASO on a regal note in beautiful St. John's Cathedral as they serenade you with the stunning Coronation Mass.

If this spectacular season leaves you needing more, make plans to attend one of ASO's three signature fundraising events. In October, meet ASO at the top of the Downtown parking tower for Symphony in the Sky, featuring tunes by Elton John performed by local musicians and vocalists. Then, start your holiday celebrations in December with Deck the Halls, a Christmas Home Tour. And finally, join the Acadiana Symphony Women's League for their 29th year of the wildest lunch in town, Mad Hatter's Luncheon and Style Show in late March.
