‘Track 6: Dream On’ from Acadiana Symphony Orchestra

Tickets are still available for Acadiana Symphony Orchestra’s next concert, Track 6: Dream On, which will take place tomorrow (Friday, April 8, 2022).

This performance is "Track 6" of the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra's 37th Season titled "Live with the Symphony: The Soundtrack of Your Life".

This performance will be held at Angelle Hall on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, so it's a great opportunity to team up with the talented students at UL. The Acadiana Symphony Orchestra will perform alongside the
University of Louisiana Combined Choirs and Men’s Choral, featuring several of the university's incredible solo vocalists.

As an added treat, ASO will also be joined by guest artist, and world-renowned
Cuban/Spanish piano virtuoso, Leonel Morales, who'll present famous pieces by Sergei Prokofiev and Ludwig van Beethoven in his own passionate and masterful style.

ASO is honored to have Leonel back on its stage again, as he has performed with the Symphony many times over the years. Morales' reputation precedes him, as he has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in North America, including Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, and Lincoln Center, and has judged more than a dozen esteemed piano competitions around the world.

“Track 6: Dream On is brimming with talented musicians, who’ll perform a particularly whimsical repertoire that includes bright and upbeat pieces by Debussy, Mendelssohn, and Beethoven,” said Dana Baker, ASO Executive Director. She continued, “We also look forward to presenting a couple of pieces written by Ukrainian composers, including Myroslav Skoryk – just one way we’re showing our support for our Ukrainian musicians, friends and family, during this time of crisis.”

Track 6: Dream On, is a part of ASO’s 37th concert series, LIVE with the Symphony: The Soundtrack of Your Life – a series dedicated to relating the themes and music of each concert to the memorable soundtracks of our lives.
