Fred Willard, the known stage and comedy actor has died after a fifty-year career.

He was born in September of 1933 in Shaker Heights, Ohio, and he died yesterday, May 15 in Los Angeles, California.

Fred Willard's daughter, Hope, had the duty of informing both People Magazine and the Hollywood Reporter of her father's passing.

Fred Willard was a versatile actor having parts in various roles and portraying characters in different genres.

One example, is when Fred Willard plays the head of the station in the movie "Anchorman". He was an integral part of helping to keep the laughs rolling in that moving as he had a prominent position in the movie, but he was constantly taking calls from nuns at his son's school who would talk about his wild and dangerous exploits.
