Alligator Gar Caught in Lafreniere Park Lagoon in Metairie

Metairie residents may want to think twice before dipping their toes in the water at Lafreniere Park.

According to their Facebook page, Lafreniere Park workers pulled a HUGE alligator Gar from their lagoon.

Although this monster of a fish was dead at the time of its removal, spectators claim to have seen the fish swimming around the lagoon recently.

So, the next time you take a boat ride in the lagoon at Lafreniere Park, be wary of the things that may be lurking there!
