Here, we see an incredible video of an NFL game from 1939, in color.

The two teams are the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Detroit Lions.

It is odd, watching a Dodgers team wearing blue, and football players not wearing facemasks.

It's also strange seeing football referees in all-white.
