American Idol will be back in the Bayou State to hold auditions.

Representatives for the show have announced they will hold open auditions in New Orleans in addition to a previously announced stop in Shreveport.

The New Orleans auditions will be Friday, July 20 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Potential contestants must be between 15 and 28 years old while meeting other eligibility requirements. They will also need to register in advance through the American Idol website.

Hopefuls can also have a shot at getting on the show by submitting a video through the show's website.

The Shreveport date will be September 9. No word yet on where these auditions will be held. Last year's stop there, Riverview Park in Downtown Shreveport was the location.

The second season of "Idol" on ABC will get cranked up in January 2019. Celebrity judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie will be returning, as well as host Ryan Seacrest.
