There's jerk bosses and then there's AOL CEO Tim Armstrong. He had a conference call recently with over 1,000 employees from AOL's Patch news network when he got perturbed with an employee and fired him on the spot.

The employees were already worried about losing their jobs after AOL had announced plans to downsize Patch. Armstrong got on the phone to reassure them.

Guess it didn't work.

The guy who got canned in the middle of the call is Abel Lenz, who was Patch's Creative Director. He was taking pictures of the meeting to send out to employees. Apparently, Lenz did this all the time.

Armstrong got annoyed with the picture taking and fired him on the spot. The best of all is, there's audio. Enjoy.
