The driver of the suspect vehicle fled the scene on foot. A K-9 officer was deployed but was unable to successfully track down the suspect, believed to be Gary. One person in the suspect vehicle was taken to a Lafayette hospital where he remains in critical condition. Two others were treated in the incident. Police describe those injuries as moderate.
