The St. Tammany Parish Sherrif's Office has arrested three people, a woman, and two teens after a dog was found last week with his two hind legs possibly sawed off.

A St. Tammany Parish animal rescue group called authorites after an abandoned dog was found was brought in without his two hind legs according to KATC. It appeared his back legs had been sawed off.

In February of this year, the Sheriff's Dept. says the dog, Buddy, had been shot. The dog's owners had reported the incident but allegedly didn't properly care for Buddy's injuries.

From KATC.com -

As a result of being shot, St. Tammy deputies say Buddy suffered partial paralysis in his back legs which dragged behind him. They say the owners, identified only as a 50-year-old Slidell woman and her 17-year-old daughter, told detectives the dog's legs 'fell off' after they bandaged them tightly.

KATC reports that a board-certified veterinarian orthopedic surgeon was consulted and concluded that the dog's hind legs had become "Maliciously Infected" as a result of improper care from the previous gunshot wounds and says Buddy's legs were removed by unnatural means.

The mother, her 17-year-old daughter and her 17-year-old friend were arrested and charged with Aggravated Cruelty to Animals.

The good news is that now Buddy is in good hands and is said to be diong well. If you'd like to show support for the ole boy and help with medical expenses, you can check out the GoFundMe page HERE. However, as you can expect the goal has far been exeeded.
