Bank Robbery- New Photos Released
LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL) -- New pictures have been released as Police in Lafayette continue to investigate the robbery of a Whitney Bank Friday evening.
One of the photos is the actual suspect vehicle in an adjacent parking lot next to the bank. The second photo is a similar truck believed to be a 2004 - 2008 F250 Ford pickup truck.
Cpl. Kyle Soirez, a Lafayette Police Department spokesperson, says the suspect walked into the bank on Ambassador Caffery Parkway and handed a note to the teller demanding money. The note also indicated that he was armed with a gun.
After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled on foot to a nearby parking lot and left in a pick-up truck, Soirez says.
The suspect is described as a male, about 6-foot-2 to 6-foot-4, weighing about 240 to 260 pounds. He was wearing a blue and white baseball cap and a light-colored shirt with a white tee shirt underneath.
