For the past eight years, fans of country music have made a pilgrimage to South Louisiana over the Memorial Day weekend. It appears as if that gathering of the country music faithful will once again occur as Bayou Country Superfest has confirmed it will be back in New Orleans this year.

The festival moved to New Orleans from Baton Rouge's Tiger Stadium earlier this year. The reason? Tiger stadium renovations would have created a logistical nightmare for concert planners and fans too. The 2017 event was held at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. That will be the case again in 2018.

Officials with the concert will be releasing the names of the performers one week from today, (October 24th). Ticket prices and packages are also expected to be announced at the same time the on-stage lineup is made public.

Some of the biggest names in country music have performed as part of Bayou Country Superfest. Acts like George Strait, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, and others have all graced the Bayou Country Superfest stage at one time or another.
