Just last month, Buc-ee's released a comprehensive timeline for expansion of the massive travel centers into new markets. Both Louisiana locations were on that list. A recent article in the Shreveport Times confirmed that the Ruston location was on target for an opening date of April 2027.

Technically, the store will be off of I-10 at Louisiana Avenue. And the good news for Buc-ee's fans is that the store appears to be on target for opening sooner than originally forecast.

Earlier releases from Buc-ee's suggested that the Lafayette, Louisiana location of Buc-ee's might not be ready for customers until early 2028. But based on information reported, that travel center could be ready for business just a few months after the Ruston store opens.
