Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun baseball team come out ranked #6 in the final Perfect Game poll of the season. In the four other major polls, they weren't far behind.

UL is coming off a season in which they won a school record 58 games, only suffering 10 defeats, earning a consensus #1 ranking in the final polls of the regular season, and ends the college baseball year ranked in the top 10 of all five major polls.

Coming in 6th in the Perfect Game poll, 7th in Baseball America, 8th in the USA Today/Coaches, and 9th in Collegiate Baseball and NCBWA, the Cajuns significant impact on the college baseball world in 2014 is unquestioned.

After earning their first national seed in school history, Louisiana won the Lafayette regional, but fell to Ole Miss in the Lafayette Super Regional, one victory shy of a trip to the College World Series.
