'Nashville Flipped' reality star Troy Dean Shafer passed away suddenly at age 38 on April 28, and his cause of death has been released today. The Erie County Coroner's Office stated that Shafer died 'due to combined drug toxicity', although the specific drugs were not revealed.

Shafer's wildly popular show on the DIY Network began in 2016 and ran for two seasons before the star died. He was a graduate of Penn State University, and a native of Erie, Pennsylvania before moving to Nashville to become a country music star.
