CCSN Memories – A Country Comedian Is Born

Country music has always had its fair share of jesters. Blake Shelton is a great example of a serious artist with a very funny side. Buck Owens and Roy Clark proved they could create monster hits and crack wise as well with the work that they did on Hee Haw back in the day. However, there is one guy that in my opinion took country comedy and music to a whole new level. That man is Ray Stevens.

Today is Ray's birthday and while he generated some really big hits with the Grammy award winning Misty and Everything is Beautiful. Most of us know him for his funny stuff. I think that Ray Stevens figured out early in life that music is a great vehicle for laughter and making people laugh is an art form in its own right.
