Hurricane Season may be a few months away, but it's never too early to talk Hurricane Preparedness. And that's exactly what U.S. Rep. Charles Boustany wants to do with you.

“It has been almost ten years since Hurricanes Katrina and Rita devastated our coastline and cost thousands of Louisianans their lives," says Boustany. "The lessons learned in the aftermath of these storms can save lives. I encourage my friends and neighbors to attend these Forums to learn how we can safeguard our families and homes against catastrophic hurricanes this year.”

On Monday, April 27, Boustany will host Hurricane Preparedness Forums with the National Weather Service (NWS) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in Lafayette and Lake Charles.

Lafayette's meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will take place at Abdalla Hall on the campus of the University of Louisiana-Lafayette on 635 Cajundome Boulevard.

Lake Charle's meeting will begin at 2:00 p.m. and will take place at the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Council Meeting Room on 1015 Pithon Street.
