Things are a little different in South Louisiana, including Christmas. While the rest of the Country has set up displays with Santa and his reindeer, one Louisiana sculpture artist Lee Romaire has set up a display with a Cajun Santa on a shrimp boat with reingators complete with crabs on their heads for the antlers.

The louisianaweekend.com reports Romaire decided to surprise the people of Morgan City this year with the Cajun Christmas display. Romaire says that he "just wanted to do something great for the town. Why not make it a Cajun Christmas” according to louisianaweekend.com.

Romaire says the three reingators have names as well.

“The largest alligator is named Doc after Doc Brownell who created the original Santa Claus. The second alligator is named Green after a local artist Mr. Greenwood who created the second Santa Claus and finally Rudolph because we couldn’t really change Rudolph’s name”

The road trip worthy Cajun Santa display is located on Brashear Avenue in Morgan City.
