Chick-fil-A Announces New Menu Items, Free Food for a Year

LAFAYETTE, La. (KMDL-FM) - It's no secret that Lafayette and Acadiana loves some Chick-fil-A. Every time a new location opens in South Louisiana it routinely racks up record sales.

2026 is Chick-fil-A's 80th anniversary, and to celebrate they're rolling out some pretty cool things like retro drink cups from the company's archives, new menu items, and something called "Golden Fan Cups" that will give 3,000 lucky customers free Chick-fil-A for a year.

New Chick-fil-A Menu Items 2026

To start of the new year in celebration of their 80th anniversary, Chick-fil-a has permanently added frosted sodas and floats to the menu.

"Frosted Sodas are hand-spun with Icedream and Guests’ choice of fountain beverage for a smooth, creamy treat with a retro twist.

Floats are layered with soda and Icedream creating a fizzy, foamy treat that’s perfect for sipping or scooping."

Flavors will include Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Dr. Pepper, Barq's, and more.

Win Free Chick-fil-A For A Year

Being called "The Golden Fan Cup Sweepstakes", the promotion kicked off January 5, 2026 giving 3,000 lucky Chick-fil-A fans the chance to win free food for an entire year.

Guests can purchase and collect four retro-inspired cup designs, celebrating iconic looks from Chick-fil-A’s past and present. The $3.99 Classic Cups will be available for a limited time starting January 5, while supplies last.

3,000 of the special Golden Fan Cups will be randomly dispersed for sale across restaurants nationwide. Interestingly, there are 3,000 Chick-fil-a locations across the U.S., so we wonder if each location will get one?

All Classic Cups will be wrapped so that the gold design cannot be seen. A winning card will be inserted in each of the 3,000 Golden Fan Cups notifying the winner that they've won free Chick-fil-A for a year.
