LAFAYETTE, La. (KMDL-FM) - Cody Johnson fans in Louisiana will have to wait until at least 2026 to see him live because via a recent Facebook announcement, Johnson has announced he is having to cancel all of his remaining performances for 2025.

Cody Johnson was scheduled to play "Boots on the Bayou" in Gonzales, Louisiana Friday, October 31.

Cody Johnson Cancels All Of His 2025 Shows

In a statement posted to his official Facebook page today (10/7/25), Cody Johnson has announced he is having to cancel all remaining live performances for 2025.

In the statement, Johnson says "It is with a very heart I have to share the remainder of this year's concert performances will not be able to happen."

According to the announcement, Cody Johnson says he's been battling a severe sinus infection and upper respiratory infection. He says while battling both of these ailments, he has burst one of his eardrums.

"The severity of the rupture means I must undergo immediate surgery. The healing process will take many weeks, and it is not possible for me to sing during this time."

One of the cancelled 2025 live performances will be his upcoming appearance at "Boots on the Bayou" in Gonzales, Louisiana October 31 and November 1 at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center.

Other artists scheduled to perform at "Boots on the Bayou" include Parker McCollum, Carly Pearce, Riley Green, The Marcus King Band, Elle King, Maddox Batson, Ashley Cooke, Chase Tyler, and more.

As of now, no information has been released by "Boots on the Bayou" organizers concerning any ticket refunds for Cody Johnson's cancelled Friday night performance or any information as to a possible replacement.
