Confessions Of A TV Junkie – A DVR Love Story

The following is a true tale written by our good friend and occaisional accomplice Tracy Wirtz, this girl loves her technology!

I LOVE TELEVISION! I'm not just talking about my job in tv, I mean tv shows. And I like LOTS of them. Smart, well-written, dry humor shows are my favorite. I'm not a huge fan of the sitcom. Cop shows REALLY get my juice flowing. And even during the "dry" summer months, there's lots to watch on the cable networks, especially TNT and USA. "The Closer," "Rizzoli & Isles," "Hawthorne," "Burn Notice," "Royal Pains,"... oh wow! The list is long. And I can't WAIT for the BIG networks to fire up again. And I do believe the DVR is the greatest invention of our time. I go to bed when most folks are just getting home from work so I record A LOT and watch it all at my convenience. One day, I hope they invent a DVR with no limit to the number of shows you can record at once. Now that, my friends, would be my idea of HECK YEAH! Don't be hatin'. I'm a simple girl. It doesn't take much to impress me.

Just hand me the remote. By the way, I like characters. Meredith Grey, Christina, Brenda Lee Johnson, Fiona, Addison, Jane Rizzoli, Maura Isles... again, the list is long. And one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITES topped a strange list! Let me know if you agree or who you would like to see on it.
