Couples Who Get Drunk Together, Stay Together
Me and the lovely Ms. Alli must be some type of super-couple because we've been married nearly 15 years and never been drunk together! But we have room to grow.
A new study out of the University of Michigan found that couples who get drunk together stay together.
Those couples apparently have happier marriages as opposed to couples where only one person drinks, or couples whether neither person drinks.
Researchers say that it's probably because drinking together means you're spending together having fun, and that's one of the keys to a happy marriage.
You all have a visual what this looks like, huh? I can just see these lovebirds sitting around the yard in lawn chairs listening to George Jones around a fire pit. An occasional insult is flung towards the cats sitting on the hood of the El Camino.
Now there is one catch. If either or both abuse alcohol, well, it isn't a good thing if you drink together. In this case the study found that drinking will make your relationship worse.
