Curfew Set for Lafayette Tonight

Lafayette City-Parish President Joey Durel has announced a curfew will be in effect tonight starting at 6pm through 6am on Thursday morning.

Just made the decision, along with all municipalities, to go to a 6:00pm to 6:00am curfew. This will help businesses make a decision and allow emergency personnel to keep a better eye on things. My big fear is having people driving around, with street lights potentially out, and having trees and powerlines down. Thanks for your help and cooperation. Please don't put our emergency personnel in unnecessary danger.
